UNDERSTANDING & SUPPORTING TEEN MENTAL HEALTH
Teenagers experience physical, cognitive and emotional changes. Although mental illness can be rather common in teens, getting a correct diagnosis will lead to treatment and recovery. This workshop trains teachers to identify and understand mental illnesses. Teachers will also learn how to reach out, provide help and support a student who has a mental health issue or is experiencing an emotional crisis.
Learning outcomes:
- Symptoms of common mental illnesses
- Treatment
- Recovery
- Maintaining good mental health
