MANAGING & TEACHING STUDENTS WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability where children engage in repetitive motions or compulsive or ritualistic behaviors and find communication and socializing challenging. Some children are non-verbal. ASD overlaps with learning disabilities with up to 31% ASD students facing learning disabilities. There are effective autism teaching methods teachers can use to integrate ASD students in an inclusive classroom. Using these strategies will enable autistic students to learn better in a comfortable environment that supports autism friendly teaching and learning.
